Markets

Thursday is “market day” in Montegrotto—a cherished ritual for our Guests! Large, lively, and full of temptations, you will find everything from clothing, shoes, and bags to food products.

In Abano, the weekly market takes place on Wednesdays.

Antiques Markets: On the second Sunday of the month in Montegrotto, from the station to the main square, you can explore crafts, second-hand items, and antiques. About 30 km away, on the last Sunday of the month, Piazzola sul Brenta hosts its renowned antiques market—a must-visit for enthusiasts and collectors. Allow a full day to fully enjoy it!

Cycling or Trekking?

If you love cycling or trekking, there are numerous routes across the plains and the hills, surrounded by nature, offering breathtaking views and panoramas.

There are approximately 30 CAI (Italian Alpine Club) trails across the Euganean Hills, covering over 200 km. They are graded according to difficulty and will lead you to discover charming landscapes, villages and hamlets, small churches, ruins, villas, and above all, a diverse and captivating natural environment.

Several trails are accessible on foot from our hotel, such as those starting from Villa Draghi, while others are best reached by car.

Among Euganean Wineries and Olive Mills

Whichever destination you choose to visit, along the way you will find wineries, farmhouses, and olive mills to explore, where you can taste renowned DOC and DOCG wines, extra-virgin olive oil, and typical dishes from Padua and the Veneto region.

In wineries, visits usually begin in the vineyards, continue through the cellars, and conclude with a tasting of selected wines, often accompanied by local products.
In olive mills, you will be fascinated by the production process of the “green gold” of our hills and will learn how to taste it, guided by the knowledgeable hosts.

A highly recommended experience to discover the local specialties is a visit to a Montagnana ham producer, a true delicacy envied by many!

Our reception team is at your disposal to advise and book guided visits to these local treasures.
